Zvorak zips to first Iron Man Challenge win in delayed USRA B-Mod main at Featherlite Fall Jamboree
SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- After a 24-hour delay for rain and time constraints on Thursday, the Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA B-Mods completed their main event Friday night during the first leg of the 15th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree at the Deer Creek Speedway.
In the 20-lap main event, former street stock driver A.J. Zvorak of Blooming Prairie, Minn., led every lap to score the $500 top prize and earn his career-first victory in the open-wheel USRA B-Mod division.
Jacob Bleess snared the runner-up finish after a strong charge from the 13 starting spot, and was followed to the checkered flag by Dan Wheeler, Iron Man Challenge points leader Cory Crapser and Mark Motl.
A complete program of heat races and main events for both the USRA B-Mods and USMTS Modifieds will take to the high-banked 3/8-mile oval.
